RECENT: an audience-reactive light work — a mesh of ESP32 microcontrollers driving addressable LEDs, wired to a Raspberry Pi 5 with a camera module. The piece read the room and the room changed the piece. Soldered, wired, and programmed in-house.
WHAT'S POSSIBLE NOW: microcontrollers, sensors, and small local LLMs are cheap enough and quiet enough to live inside exhibitions. Work that listens, watches, answers, adapts — with everything running on-site, nothing phoning home, no cloud dependency mid-show.
